Default limited paint job

ok so i met a guy with a convertible the other day he said he just bought the car and took it to the local ford dealer.
they told him the color shifting ghost flames were a limited paint from the factory.
has anyone seen this before? or know of this. it was hard to belive it was the original paint.

not sure on the exact year but it was in the 95 to 2000 body style

I've never heard of this as a factory thing. Might be a dealership add-on though

In 1996 ford offered a cobra in mystic.


And in 2004 they offered a mystichrome Cobra

Yes, they offered color shifting paint schemes but nothing with ghost flames

yeah the car is more the 96 body the flames go more red to green and and the rest of the car is dark purple convertable and i think its a cobra. and by now i am sure its a custom aftermarket paint job. not a factory limited edition as the owner said it was.
