Default Smog Pump Delete?

On my 1995 i want to get rid of the smog pump and all the nasty piping that comes from it. if i get the delete bracket/pulley...what do i do with the vacuum line that is connected to the line from the pump? also how can i block off the passages that lead into the heads? what else is associated w/ this smog pump delete?

Don't buy the delete, it's just more rotating mass that you don't need. It's said that for every pound or rotating mass you remove is like removing 5 pounds in actual dead weight. Buy a smaller belt and reroute it. I'm about to do it myself along with my header swap.

Here's some sites to help you out.

Just remove the pump, re-route a smaller belt, plug the hoses, and you are good to go. Do not do this if you still have cats because it may cause them to fail and plug the exhaust system if I am remembering correctly. If you want to get rid of the piping that leads to the heads, I have heard that spark plugs fit into the holes for a cheap ghetto fix, lol. After I did the delete, my 88 gives me a smog malfunction code, but its not an issue.
