Default Recommendations on polish/wax?

My mustang is looking pretty dirty. I have not polished or waxed it in quite a while. Anyone know of some good polishes or waxes? or good ideas on how to clean it?

Meguiars! All the way! For a wax, use this stuff...I guarantee you'll love it. And it smells amazing.

Just posting a pic of it, you can find it in any auto-parts store.

Shit I didnt see your post. I just bought a bunch of stuff today. I think I saw that there but I ended up getting the regular meguiars carnauba wax and polish. I spent about 2 hours washing, polishing, and waxing today by hand. I only polished and waxed half the car because I got tired. lol. Still have to do the other half but it turned out good. I did everything by hand. I am sure if I had an electric polished I could have polished it a little better but it looks good for now. The wax definitely made it shine and I needed something on there to protect the paint. I have not waxed it in probably 6 months.

lol I like that site name ^^
Is wax in an aerosol can?

I actually should clay bar it. It needs that as well. I was trying not to spend too much at kragens today but I felt like I wanted it all

You want to clay bar it before you wax it though. So wait a few weeks before you do the clay. Think of your clear coat like skin..it has pores just like we do Dirt gets in there, and that's what gives your paint the "rough, acne" look. The clay bar pulls all that dirt out, and then you fill the pores with wax.

And I totally know what you mean about getting tired haha. I do everything on mine by hand as well...and sweet jesus, it feels like a workout.

Also, my two cents on an electric buffer...I hate them. They are a pain in the butt, and wont get you anywhere unless you spend big $$ on one. Or maybe I have no idea how to use one. But regardless the wax always ends up coming out like poop. Have you tried the Black Box on your car? I bet you'd loveeeee it. I think meguiars makes it. But yeah it's called "The Black Box", specifically for black cars. I almost want a black car just cause the box looks so damned cool....why don't they make a "Yellow Box" lol
