ok so with all the new testing of the mustang and camero v6 cars all the buzz on hp and 1/4 mile times and speeds. i thought i would go abuse the camry a little last night. my friend and i asked his nephew where the kids go to race on the back roads. his responce was "well duh, airport road. by the junkyard." i should have known.
there are three mail boxes across from the entance to the junkyard. exactly 4 tenths down the road is a red reflector on a post on the side of the road. so i pulled up to the mail boxes, reved up my engine, let off the brake. huh tires broke loose, in low the rpm's were climbing, shifted to second just as the rev limiter kicked in, redline is 6 grand, rpms are climbing again and i just hit five grand about to shift and i see the reflector i look over and the speedo is reading north of 85mph. i'm not sure off my how long it took i didn't have a stopwatch and it was dark. but 85 pluss in a 2.2 4 cyl in just over a 1/4 mile. that wasn't bad for stock internals, a moded air box with K&N filter E3 plugs removed cat. and spuedo muffler.
