Well here's a little tidbit - it was 27 degrees when I left the house this morning for my drive to Houston. I made it over 300 miles before the temps got out of the 30's, and another 200 miles before the temps got into the 50's, with nary a bug to be found on my car. Now, during the last 200 miles down from Dallas I had to stop 4 times to clean the bugs off the windshield so I could see anything besides the glare of oncoming headlights.
The moral of this story: you can keep the heat and humidity, along with the bugs!! I'll take the freezing weather anytime. Of course as soon as I got to Houston I had to wash the car, and I got bit by two skeeters. You can keep those, too.

Something a bit more interesting! Most of my cruising is on the 'standard' interstates and I seem to be fortunate enough to always find a cop in the area any time I get on it, so I stay pretty close to speed limits. Today I'm rolling some back roads on the way down here and need to roll by a semi on the two lane. Since I started at 75, it rolled up pretty quickly, and somewhere around 90 the cams kicked in! DAMN, that was cool. I actually caught myself going WTF??? Of course, that popped it over 100 before I figured out I needed to get off the gas....
