So, What Did You Do This Weekend?

In my continuing quest to get a real heating system in the house (hot water radiant floor) I need to get everything in the house OUT of the house to put down the new floor. It’s going on a concrete slab, so the entire floor of the house will rise by 1 ½”. Since I have to live here during the process, I’m going to be working kind of room by room, and this is where I started on Friday morning – the spare bathroom.

When it goes back together it’s going to have this in the room.

Indeed, digital it is. Multi-level, zone and speed jets; jet heater and the whole thing is lit under water with fiber optic. The manual says it has a 'wave' function, and I'm curious to see what that is all about. I was looking at new tubs online and decided to check out the clearance section - one left at almost 60% off. List price on this was a shade over $5K. I really wanted a hot tub (had one at my old house 15 years ago) but the only place to put one is in the solarium. It gets a bit 'chilly' out there as soon as the sun drops and I didn't want to pay the heating for it.
