I have a 1965 ford mustang c code 289 that I bought last mothers day from a lady that owned it for 30 years and it sat in the garage for the last 15. The original 289 was rebuilt in 1992 and trans started leaking so they parked it in 1995. When I got the car home I prepped the motor with new plugs and hot battery and after making sure the cylinders were oiled and free I put gas in and it fired up with no issues.
The only major rust in the car was the trunk area so I had all new trunk pans, lower quarter pannels and tail light pannel replaced. A small area behing passanger seat was repaired along with section where battery sat. Other then that it was a very solid car. Just needs to be finished up. I have new gas tank with new sending unit and fuel line front to back. New door pannels seat covers and alot of extra trim and parts. Clean title
