Lightbulb my mini mach 1 or a mach 2

ok so this is my wedge mark II supra i always thought these looked like a small mach 1 mustang but with popup headlights. i am thinking about doing a mod to drop my 302 in for a quick switch to the fox body.

That looks like a cool ride. A V8 in that would make that a beast. I've always liked the idea of V8s in small cars like the cobra or even the datsuns

yeah in fact my friend and i are looking to use this as a prototype for a business idea american engens japan sports cars rx7, 280z,supras. right now we are jerking the engine on this, dropping a 383 stroker in a 78 chevy 2wd shortbox, and painting a CJ and a old school bug for total paint including door jams maybe next month.

yeah its a odd color. and the interior is called terra cotta kind of a rust color. the hatch was always black on the early models. in 84 i think they color matched it. mine they call the Ltype no fender flares and 14 in rims not a popular car. few like them but its like someone choosing a 2+2 instead of the GT350. one of the reasons i decided on a V8 swap.

Actually Toyota worked with Chevrolet... the 80's Nova is a re-badged Corolla. So really that car is more bow-tie than blue oval, even though it isn't a shared platform

nova was a corolla sprint was a tercell but the celica/supras was not offered with a chevy counter part, i wish. this has 145 hp from the factory in a 6 cyl the 82 camero with a 305 v8 was rated lower although i cant remember off hand.
granted as kids the chevy v8 was always a good starting point and we push a lot more hp out of them.
the 302 is a choice for a low budget build because of the front mount distributer. and firewall clearance. i think this car has a two piece driveline with a carrier bearring so addapting a driveline to a different trans. should be easy. the hp gains with a US v8 are more easily achieved at a lower cost in my opinon.
up here in montana i can go to any junkyard and find a 302 but for a toyota engine i have to call over to seattle and shipping cost are add the pricee gets up there.
