Shelby has announced that the company is nearing completion of its Shelby GT500 40th Anniversary and 427 Super Snake packages. The company will schedule completion for these two popular post title programs by the end of 2010.* Customers can order the few remaining packages until they are sold out. Shelby American still offers its Super Snake, GT350 and Terlingua Racing Team vehicle packages, as well as the authentic Shelby Cobra.

“These Shelby GT500 packages have been very popular with Shelby owners, and have always been planned for limited production,” said John Luft, president of Shelby American. “Exclusivity, Value and Substance are hallmarks of the Shelby brand and closing out these two packages in December will maximize the value of these Shelby cars for customers over the long term.”

The 427 Super Snake commemorates Shelby’s sponsorship of the Las Vegas NASCAR race. The package is installed by Shelby American at its Las Vegas facility to a customer’s 2007-2010 GT500. In addition to the equipment offered with the standard Super Snake, this package includes:

• Adjustable Caster/Camber plates
• Unique “427” race inspired Shelby badges
• Strut tower brace on the 605HP version
• Blower badge on 725 – 750 HP version
• Trunk and floor mats
• Sun visor signed by Carroll Shelby noting 427 special edition
• Special seat inserts
• Certificate of authenticity

The 40th anniversary package was created to celebrate the rebirth of the Shelby GT500 in 2007. This post title package can be installed by Shelby American or one of its mod shops and includes:

• Shelby/Eibach coil over suspension and sway bar kit
• 20? Shelby American Racing Razor wheels in special black with Shelby center caps
• 255/30/20 front tires and*285/30/20 rear tires
• 40th Anniversary badges
• Carbon fiber front splitter and mirror covers
• Aluminum hood grill inserts
• Deck lid SHELBY letter kit
• Sequential tail lights
• Convertible Shelby Signature stripe kit (the hardtop already is striped) and light bar
• Front and rear brake duct kit
