We are finally getting to see some good video of the new 2011 Ford Mustang V-6 and GT models as the professional media got the chance to drive both 2011 models last week during a media event out in California. The video below comes to us from Matt Farah of The Smoking Tire who got the opportunity to drive both a V-6 and GT coupe while at the press event. First up is the 2011 Mustang V-6 and in true Matt Farah style he smokes the tires to get things started. After the tires cooled down Farah took the new 3.7-liter V-6 Mustang on a trip through the Malibu Canyons highlighting why he thinks this car may be one of the most significant vehicles built in American this year.
Next up is the Mustang GT with it's all-new all-aluminum 5.0-liter V-8 producing 412 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque. Farah actually gets to drive the California Special model with the Brembo brake package and glass roof option but for practical purposes its still just a GT. In the video Farah gets the opportunity to drag race the new Mustang GT against a 2010 Camaro SS and the results are nothing short of spectacular as the Mustang GT with 14 less horsepower simply walks the Camaro by several car lengths. Farah also takes the 2011 Mustang GT for a drive down Mulholland highway's infamous "Rattlesnake" to see how the new GT handles the twists and turns.
Check out both videos below.
