I was wondering if i bought a header for a 250 L6 would i have to modify th exhaust pipes comeing off the header, such as shortening them or bending them? This is coming off a 1970 coupe.

I believe you will need to modify the existing pipes. An exhaust shop can easily do that for you. It looks like it comes with all the necessary hardware as well.
