Biggest size or width?

Here's a good place to start to give you an idea what you have to work with:

Are you wanting larger diameter rims, or more width, or both?

my 65 has 16x9.6 in the back and 16x7.6 inch in the front. You might be able to go a little wider in the back, I wouldn't go any wider in the front, mine have very little fender clearance.

edit: I'm also at stock height, so if you're lowered/going to lower, may want to make sure you're going to have the clearance on top (mine rub on the fender flare when i go over hard bumps)

No, I'm not recommending you do this to your car. PLEASE don't do this to your car!

It varies a lot with your suspension too. Even if your suspension is stock it could be sagging a little due to its age. I had 235s with 17 in wheels that fit well without rubbing. I forget the sidewall ratio though I can look that up.
