Default What's your experiense with Aluminum Drive Shaft

I added the spydershaft, a dyno tune and the CHE K member with torque limiters all at the same time. I have a little new NVH at around 60-62 mph but below that and above it everything is fine. Had the car up to 90 mph with no vibration so the shaft is fine on the top end. Not sure what is causing the NVH at this point. Just a little different feeling than before the installs so I'll have to figure it out.

Then I got the Spyder shaft and no more vibration! Plus the cost is VERY nice!
I'm surprised that the spyder shaft solved your problem because it really sounds like you needed to adjust your pinion angle.

I noticed my exhaust sounded louder after installing a 1 piece driveshaft. I know one thing, if you have any type of vibration with the stock shaft (not caused by the shaft itself) then a 1 piece will amplify that vibration. I think I have a vibration in my tranny or clutch and it's worse with the 1 piece, but barely noticeable with the stock two piece. The two piece gets a bad rap, but it really does a great job at reducing NVH. I will reinstall my 1 piece after I replace my clutch, hopefully soon.

I've got the Spydershaft and have some vibration when I'm over 85mph and I let off the gas. When I'm accelerating it's fine, it's when I let off the gas then you can hear and feel some vibration. I'm not lowered at all so pinion angle shouldn't have been affected. Not sure what the issue is at the moment but something I'll need to get remedied.

I'm sure you will need to adjust the pinion angle. The issue isn't just if you are lowered or not, the angle for the 1 piece is different than the 2 piece. Somewhere here there's some information about how to adjust it and what it should be adjusted to. I had mine done at a chassis shop.
