cam talk
between all the cams, i've heard alot about, BBR stage 2, FRPP, and now these NSR. i think i like the NSR only because i wouldnt have to change the valve springs.
just what wondering what cams are all yall running and so far which ones are the best for daily driving and if i wanted to add a super charger later?

I'm not sure about BBR, but FRPP & Comp, both make NSR Cams.

FRPP is the only cam out that makes a choppy idle while staying NSR......the Comp NSR cams give a nice idle too, but not a choppy one..........(comp stage 2 NSR gives more power than FRPP).......
there is also vids on Youtube about SuttonHP cams, i have no info on them, nor do i know any truth behind them, but they sound good, very similar to the FRPP (but like i say, i have no info on them, so i dont know if they are NSR)

Checkout the FRPP Hot Rod Cams, or Stage 2 Comp Cams then. You'll be fine with either, although you will need a tune for the FRPP's.

hhmm sounds good, i always get indecisive when comes to things like this.
havent decided if i want to build a mean N/A car, or with a whipple i know they end making more power with a blower, but i want to make sure i choose the a decent cam for now before going with a blower, hey whats the usual install costs on a cam. bcuz im lazy and last i installed cams it took 4 and half hours

the comp NSR cams are great for a daily driver, great for MPG. The Idle is nice, you will know that the engine has cams in it when you hear it. I like the idle a lot. I like to watch videos of big cammed cars but did not want to drive one around. No it isnt the hot rod cams idle. but that is preference. I have the stage II nsr cams in my car and love them. I dont plan on changeing them even when i swap heads and upgrade springs and vavles in the fall, thats how much i like them.
Dont get hung up on this blower cam thing. You dont really need to get the blower cams, and if your not sure when your getting a s/c then i wouldnt get those cams. The regular stage I or II nsr cams would work fine with a supercharger. The blower cams are for HIGH BOOST applications like 15plbs and above. If you think your going to be pushing that then look at them. But you will lose some low end tq with those cams.
