Default driving on the freeway and accidently downshifted

I let my friend drive my car and we were on the freeway going about 60 when he downshifted.. he must have put it in 2nd or 1st because the whole car shoke violently.. now i've taken it to the dealer and they told me i have two bent axles.. then they told me its not covered under warranty! the car only has 27k on it.. does anybody have any experience with this issue? and how can it not be covered?

Because you used the car in a way not designed... If you were to get in an accident would it be covered under Warranty? This is basically the same thing. your best bet is to go to newtakeoff.com. $600 for a very lightly used fully dressed rear end with 3.31's. Really, your lucky thats the only thing wrong with it.
