Default Need help with the air temp gauge

Im trying to install my saleen boost and air temp gauge. Trying to figure out where I tap in to wire up the IAT or ACT or whatever it is. This is what the instructions says..

Cut open 6in. of the convuluted sleeving from just behind the ACT; the ACT connecter is plugged into the air inlet tube at the drivers side front corner of the engine bay.

This is what I thought it could be, the wires that run here, that hooks up to the maf. But maybe its another set of wires?

Then it says a couple steps down; plug the ACT connector into the ACT sensor located on the drivers side front corner of the intake manifold. Which is the part shown with the arrow

But nothing I have fits it, and nothing fit it before the install too. Im lost, and almost thinking about taking it to a shop and having them hook it up and maybe throw somethin else in I dunno. This is what came with the kit

I was told I would need this piece, but ive never heard or seen anything about it, and dont know why saleen wouldnt say I needed it.

Any help please??

here are some pics of mine

That link you posted is definitely the piece that connects there. I am not sure why it is not supplied in your kit.

What kit did you buy? If you bought the saleen gauge pod are you sure those arent the boost connectors?

I just got off the phone with Dave at saleen. He's saying I should have that piece, which I don't. He's actually going to send me a picture what I don't have, and it should be the piece in your first pic. It shouldn't be for the boost because all that's used there is the circle connecter/ground part. He said what the piece is that I posted was but I still don't know. He's supposed to call me back so well see.

And it was the 15lb kit from them. Shouldve had everything with it, but I don't have that piece

did you buy it though Saleen? They seem to be slacking big time lately. Everything I have ordered through them has screwed up in some way.

Yea ordered it from them like a week before I came down and picked up the splitter. I should probobly check everything I get in the mail better. But it was in a ziplock bag, and bubble wrapped and all that, looks like you couldnt really mess it up ya know. Sometimes their cheaper than other places, with the shipping and everything, but this is the first thing that was messed up that I ordered.

I read your other forum on moddedmustangs. Thats weird that JDM would just ignore the fact that you have a different intake that they dont know how to tune for. Im sure that had a lot to do with it. Good luck with the dynotune Im sure that will solve the problems.

Well because nobody uses this intake on the saleen blower, with the clearance issues it has. But yea I dont know if they got confused, because I believe it was Jim Sr. who was getting all the info from my and my intake, but then Jr said they didnt tune for it, so I dont know if they got confused or what.

But the spark plug ended up being broken and the gap was too small. So I overnighted a couple new plugs from Brenspeed, and got them today, gapped one and replaced the one plug that was shitty. Car runs good now, no backfiring and no shuttering like before. I only drove it a little bit but I plan on driving it more later if not tomorrow. Then I will check to see if the code comes up then.
