Default 3V Cam Comparison

I have done my research and all of it thus far seems inconclusive... everyone says one thing then a bunch of people say another. Sound is a factor but even a bit of lope can be attined with a good tune. I would like to get a form of NSR cam to keep the cost of installation on the lower end, namely the FRPP Hot Rod Cams, Comp Thumpr Stage II, BBR Stage I Billet, or the Comp XFI NSR Stage II. All of these claim 30-50 hp, which I am assuming is at the crank. I would like to find out, out of these cams, which will provide me with better gains THROUGHOUT the powerband as opposed to simply up top. I have basically all the bolt ons in my car already, and my car is automatic as well, and either a 125 shot or a procharger is in the works as we speak so the cam needs to be ok with some sort of power adder (though not exceeding 600rwhp at any point in time). Dyno results to back claims would be appreciated

Just FYI - You are aware Comp Cams makes 2 different XFI NSR Stage II cams - N/A & Blower cams. Sounds like you need to decide if your going to go N2O or F/I, then I would discuss directly with Comp asking their recommendations as well.

Stage II blower cams require 3.73 gears and a higher stall converter

I think anybody with a supercharger and stock internals doesn't need a cam for power. And if you put a cam in, you might even need to de-tune to keep the power down to a safe level.

Another thing - no cam adds power to the entire powerband. Any cam simply moves area under the curve from one area and re-focuses it to another area.

IMO, a mild cam is appropriate for somebody that wants the sound, while more moderate or aggressive cams are for people into drag racing (ie: people who only care about the upper rpm bands).
