Default What are the absolutely best flowing 3 valve heads?

If you wanted the best flowing heads for your car where would you get them? Fox lake, Livernois, the new ford racing heads? No price range.

I just ordered a set from SuttonHP. they flow a little over 280 on the intake and right at 200 on the exhaust but the low lift flow numbers are great.
Livernois has a stage 3 which flows 300intake and 200 exhaust with really good low lift #'s.
what you want to look at is low lift flow #'s. Having big peak flow #'s is nice but the valve is only at that position briefly. it spends most of it's time being partially open so getting the heads to flow good at .100"-.400" lift is more important than a peak flow at .700" lift (which no one makes a cam that large anyway).

I am with you on that but they are also very very expensive. 2.8k on the group buy. Looking to see what other options they are out there ya know.

yes they are but you get what you pay for. When I go with heads im going for the livernois. Do it once do it right and not have to buy heads again.

Well can you say why they are better than Ford racing heads or Sutton or BBR? Or are you just regurgitating general consensus about Livernois (from Livernois)?
I wonder if anyone remembers Livernois from 4 years ago? They had a reputation for "F"ing up people's motors. The new management seems much better but there are places like Fox lake have been building real racing engines for many years.
So I was wondering why you are so stuck on Livernois?

Livernois is good but very commercial. With cases like that you sometimes pay more for less. Then again you don't become commercial by not delivering.

Don't think that big flow numbers are going to get you big HP. Its not all about flow #'s - one of the most important and most over looked is air velocity...

Here are some comparsion for you to look at
BBR Bare CNC Cylinder Heads - 2005-2010 Mustang GT

Fox Lake Power Products, intake manifolds, assembled shortblocks, modular shortblocks, CNC modular heads, P-51 installation, comp cams, crower, ferrea components 1999

Another option is MMR heads. They seem to have good numbers at a good price also
