Just speaking from personal experience, when I installed the D3 it made a world of difference in the way the stock speakers sounded.

What happened with the blower? Looking at the photos I didn't see a smaller pulley. If you do get it you also need stock balancer / WP pulley (I have a spare set). I bought a IC pump on ebay a long time ago to use on my Ranger, so keep a lookout. I think it's the same pump that was used on the Lightning.

The audio thing sounds like 'dealer syndrome' - take it in to get something fixed and come out with 2 or 3 other things that don't work anymore. I was in dealerships for 20+ years, so I saw a lot of that.
